Route Castles of Lleida

The Castle of Montsonís is part of the route "Castles of Lleida: A Journey to the Past", one of the most suggestive itineraries to know the region and its history.

The route is an itinerary through the castles, very well preserved, of the province of Lleida; a route that takes the visitors to the Middle Age, an epoch when these lands were the frontier between the Arab and Christian worlds.

In the province of Lleida one can visit the castle of Montclar (in the region of Urgell), the castles of Vicfred, Pallargues and Florejacs (in the Segarra) and the castle of Mur (in the region of Pallars Jussà).

All of them, with the Castle of Montsonís as pioneer, constitute the Route of the Castles.
